TogetherCharity Home
Located in Butterworth, Penang, Malaysia, this is not just a welfare home—it is a safe, warm, and respectful haven for children with physical and intellectual disabilities.
We are a non-profit social welfare organization, established in 2020, specializing in caring for children with learning disabilities.
Currently, the home houses 27 residents, aged between 11 and 59 years. Here, they receive love, companionship, and support, gradually learning self-care and cooperation, while enjoying their own smiles and dignity.
We do not charge any fees to families and operate entirely through the generosity of public donations.
Every contribution you make becomes a source of strength for the children to move forward.
At present, TogetherCharity Home cares for children with various special needs, including:
-
Autism
-
ADHD
-
Learning delays
-
Cerebral palsy
-
Intellectual disabilities
About 90% of these children come from single-parent or underprivileged families, lacking sufficient care or resources.
In addition to providing accommodation and meals, we offer 24-hour care and emphasize maintaining daily routines while supporting their physical and mental development.
Individualized Care and Daily Support
Provide each child with comprehensive daily care, including personal hygiene, cleanliness, and nutritional meals, ensuring they grow up healthy in a warm and safe environment.
Basic Education and Interest Development
Develop basic self-care skills and foundational learning interests, helping them build confidence and a sense of achievement.
Emotional Support and Social Integration
Through counseling, interactive activities, and community engagement, enhance the children’s emotional expression and social skills, helping them integrate into society and feel cared for.
In Malaysia, many families are unable to care for children with intellectual disabilities on their own due to financial pressures, limited caregiving knowledge, or family structure constraints. These children often require around-the-clock attention and professional care, yet in reality, they are easily overlooked, isolated, and may face life challenges or even develop behavioral issues.
TogetherCharity Home was therefore established in 2020 in Penang to ease the burden on these families, welcome their children, and provide a safe, warm, and dignified living environment.
